1. The 5 Drive-In Movie Theatre (Oakville)
The 5 Drive in Oakville is fantastic! It has a great movie selection, and is very dog-friendly. The staff is friendly, and the snack options are good. The picture and sound quality are excellent. Highly recommend for a fun night out with your furry friend! Well managed and organized. Good experience overall. Ideal to come about 45 mins before the movie timing. Get blankets, cushions, etc. if you plan to use your SUV boot or pick up truck. Chairs are a good option too. Sound quality and video were very good.

2. Starlite Drive-In Movie Theatre (Hamilton)
Love the drive-in experience. If you grew up going to one, you can’t beat the pure nostalgia of seeing a movie from a car. Starlite does a great job. Sometimes the bathrooms run out of TP so make sure if going around 2nd movie time you carry some with you. If using napkins, remember DO NOT FLUSH IT but put it in the garbage instead. No one needs blocked pipes. Suggestions for first timers: research how to keep your radio on and your lights off before you come please. Pokemon Go players there’s one stop and one gym and a couple of spawns will pop here and there.

3. The Stardust Drive-In Movie Theatre (Newmarket)
The Stardust Drive-In Movie Theatre is very nice atmosphere overall! Ticket purchasing was smooth and all staff were very friendly! Food and tickets are expensive, expect ~$70 for tickets and food for 2, but it’s definitely a fun experience! Audio quality and sync as well as movie quality was fantastic with ample parking spots with a great view! Be sure to bring lots of lawn chairs if coming with a big group and a speaker to play the audio if your radio is not too loud. Very good experience overall!

4. The Oxford Drive-In Theatre (Woodstock)
The Oxford Drive-In Theatre is so nice to be able to go to a drive-in movie again. The Oxford Drive-In Theatre is definitely the best way to go see a movie when you have young children. Regarding the drive-in theatre: The projection system is great, the screen is very clear and bright. The sound was perfect too. It’s a really good location; not too far from town. The popcorn was fresh, the nachos were good too. The staff are really friendly and they have done a great job on the renovations. The washrooms are all updated and very clean. We got to see two current movies for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be going back again. Let’s support our local businesses – these are our neighbours.

5. Lindsay Twin Drive-In Movie Theatre (Lindsay)
6. Mustang Drive-In Theatre (Guelph)
This was an experience the kids won’t forget. Bring blankets, pillows, snacks, a ball, etc. Concession, I believe, is only cash. Arrive when the gates open to get a good spot. Watching a movie under the stars with the kids was amazing, and we can’t wait to do it again, when it’s warmer.Tons of great family fun. Sit in your car, sit outside.. enjoy the show. The snack bar is clean, well taken care of and not too overpriced. Sure its a bit expensive (Cheaper than regular theaters), but the price to get in more than makes up for it. Movie magic is alive at the Mustang.

7. Can-View (Skyway) Drive-In Movie Theatre (St. Catharine's)
Great place to take the family, a lot cleaner and more taken care of than the Starlight drive-in that’s located in Hamilton. Very quick service, some down falls to our visit is the kid zone almost 65% out of order and the highway is so close that during our movie on Screen 2 there is a heavy amount of traffic going by that drowned out some parts, we did also find that the volume even at max volume was extremely low compared to Starlight where I do not even have to have it at full volume for good noise. It seems to have great food options, bathrooms where kept clean and with four screens to choose from the are able to provide lots of choices.

8. Sunset Drive-In Movie Theatre (Barrie)
This may be the closest thing you’ll ever get to that in your life. Sunset Drive super affordable, the park is old and probably dangerous but the kids love it. The picture quality is surprisingly okay, lots of space to park, and the concession is well-priced. The only thing I would have given a 4th star is if some of the “arcade” machines were not out of order as well as some of the jungle gym bits. All and all would recommend to anyone looking for something different to do or trying to entertain some kids in the summer. Get out there and support these amazing businesses.
